Ms. Concannon is President ex officio of the King County Bar Association (President 2007-’08) (Vice President 2005-’07); a member of the National Association of Women Judges (2007-’09); a Commissioner on the American Bar Association’s Commission on Domestic Violence (2007-’10); Washington state’s coordinator for the ABA Litigation Section’s “Woman Advocate” (2006-’08); Chair of the University of Washington Women’s Center Advisory Board (2000-’09); a member of the statewide Initiative for Diversity Governing Council (2004-’09); a member of the board of the Center for Women and Democracy (2008-’09); Co-chair of Washington Women Lawyer’s Statewide Legacy Project (2008-’09); and a member of the Seattle Advisory Council for Alliance for Justice (2008-’09). She was Vice President of Washington Women Lawyers (statewide)(2006-’07); a member of the Washington State Supreme Court Commission on Gender and Justice (1999-’07); and Chair of the Bar Association’s “Glass Ceiling Task Force” (2001-’05). Eileen remains active in Leadership Tomorrow (Executive Committee, 2001-’02), Washington Women’s Foundation, and the World Affairs Council. She is a former Trustee of the King County Bar Association (2001-’04) and King County Bar Foundation (2004-’05).
Eileen received Washington Women Lawyers’ “President’s Award” in 2006, Girl Scouts’ “Woman of Distinction” award in 2004, and WSBA's “Excellence in Diversity” award in 2003. She was recognized at New Beginnings Annual Dinner in 2003 as the event’s Honorary Chair for her contributions to battered women and their children. In 2005, Eileen was listed as one of the area’s “top notch women attorneys” by Washington Law & Politics. In 2006, she was featured as one of “our community’s most influential business and civic leaders” in Girl Scouts’ Northwest Washington’s Annual Report. In 2006, she was elected to become a Fellow of the American Bar Foundation in recognition of her contributions to the legal profession and community.
