The appeal filing fee is $455, including docketing fee, and can be paid online through Pay.gov.
- When you electronically file the notice of appeal, you will have the option of paying the filing fee with a credit card.
- The Pay.gov screens will walk you through the payment process.
- The Clerk's Office also accepts payment by cash, check, money order, made payable to Clerk, US District Court.
What's New:
- As of Monday, April 19th, 2010, Attorneys have a new payment option in Pay.gov for paying filing fees. ACH, or Bank Account Debit, allows Pay.gov to withdraw the payment from a checking or savings account.
In Forma Pauperis
- If In Forma Pauperis has been granted in your case at the district court level, it continues for the appeal. The Ninth Circuit Court will review your financial status and determine if you continue to qualify.
