Where do I e-mail the complaint?

The Complaint, Civil Cover Sheet, and Summons to be issued (if any) must be converted to individual PDF files, as if you are going to e-file them.

• Make sure the file sizes are all under the 5 MB limit.

• Attach your documents to an e-mail sent according to jurisdiction to:  

          newcases.seattle@wawd.uscourts.gov, or

          newcases.tacoma@wawd.uscourts.gov.

Please advise in the e-mail how you will take care of the filing fee:

• Mail or deliver a check.

• Credit card payment (if we have your credit card information on file), or

• After e-mailing your pleadings, call the Clerk's Office at (206)370-8400 for Seattle, or (253)882-3800 for Tacoma, to provide your credit card information. 

• Please do not include your credit card information in the e-mail.

• Summons will not be issued until the filing fee is received.
