Hardship with serving? -  You may request to be rescheduled by e-mail ONLY if you meet the following criteria:

  • It is no later than noon on the Friday prior to your reporting date.

Exception for medical or family emergency: 

If a sudden medical or family emergency arises over the weekend prior to your reporting date, you may e-mail the jury staff explaining why you are unable to appear.  Although you will not hear back from the court, you can assume that you are excused.

Last minute work or financial hardships:

If you have a last minute work or financial hardship, you may NOT e-mail the jury staff after noon on Friday or over the weekend prior to your reporting date.  It is too late and you are still required to follow the call-in instructions on your summons.   You will be given the opportunity to present your circumstances to the trial judge for consideration, at the time of jury selection, if you are required to report.
