Seattle and Tacoma Courthouses and Mount Vernon Community Justice Center

All CVB hearings in Seattle are being held in person. CVB hearings for initial appearances (arraignments) in Tacoma are currently being held in person. You will receive a notice of hearing from the Central Violation Bureau once your hearing is scheduled. Please make sure CVB (or your attorney, if you have one) has your contact information. You must confirm your appearance 7 days prior to your hearing by visiting https://www.wawd.uscourts.gov/cvb-confirmation or by calling 253-882-3810 for Tacoma, 206-370-8424 for Seattle.

CVB cases assigned to the Mount Vernon Community Justice Center are held in-person. If you have any questions, contact the court at 206-370-8428.

Hearings
You do not need to request a hearing. Unless you pay the ticket, a hearing will automatically be set for you if you received a ticket on federal property.

Call 800-827-2982 or email info@cvb.uscourts.gov to update your address. Please include your address, ticket number, location code, and name in your email.

The Central Violations Bureau (CVB) processes tickets issued on federal property in Western Washington.  This includes Joint Base Lewis-McChord (JBLM), Naval Base Kitsap (NBK), Olympic National Park and Forest, Mount Rainier National Park, Social Security Administration, and the Veterans Affairs Hospitals.

Please visit the CVB website or call (800) 827-2982 to pay your ticket, reschedule your hearing day, check the status of your ticket, or for any other questions. Contact the court at (253) 882-3810 for Tacoma or 206-370-8424 for Seattle if you have missed your scheduled hearing date. Ticket payments are processed through Pay.gov.

CVB hearings are held in the Seattle and Tacoma courthouses as well as the Mount Vernon Municipal Court building.
