Using the Document Camera

The court is currently in the process of upgrading courtroom technology. This page covers upgraded courtrooms, which include all Seattle courtrooms and the Tacoma courtroom of Judge Ronald B. Leighton. If you are appearing before a Tacoma judge other than Judge Leighton, please see the legacy technology pages.

The document camera is used to display documents as well as other small items to the monitors in the courtroom. Most of the controls you will need to use can be found on the top portion of the device (see below). In addition to zoom and focusing tools, each camera can also capture freeze frames, allowing an image to remain statically on the courtroom monitors even though it may no longer be in use.
