Attention School Administrators, Educators, Parents, and Students

The Ninth Circuit is pleased to announce that the 2026 Ninth Circuit Civics Contest deadline has been extended to March 13, 2026. The contest is an annual essay and video competition open to high school students who reside within the Ninth Circuit’s jurisdiction. The theme is “Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness – Your Voice. Your Story. Your America.”

Please encourage your students to participate as $11,400 total cash prizes are offered at the circuit level, plus students can compete for additional cash prizes at the district level. Visit the civics contest website for details at https://www.ca9.uscourts.gov/civicscontest.
