CM/ECF Maintenance Window

A four hour window on Saturdays from 6:00 am until 10:00 am PT is reserved for routine maintenance and minor upgrades of the CM/ECF system without prior notice. If you experience problems accessing CM/ECF during this time period on a Saturday, please wait until after 10:00 am to proceed.

Notice:  The United States District Court for the Western District of Washington will be upgrading its CM/ECF software to the Next Generation (NextGen) of CM/ECF on 27 January 2020.  Check out the NextGen Transition page for information about how you can prepare.

CM/ECF is the court's online case management and electronic case filing application. This tool enables participating attorneys and litigants to submit pleadings and corresponding documents electronically to the court and allows the court to file, maintain, and retrieve case file information. CM/ECF filing is required for attorneys and optional for those representing themselves ("pro se" filers).

A related service, PACER, allows users to obtain case and docket information online.
