The United States District Court for the Western District of Washington upgraded its CM/ECF software to the Next Generation (NextGen) of CM/ECF on January 27, 2020.  Attorneys and pro se filers must now access CM/ECF through the Central Sign-On functionality (using your PACER credentials) to electronically file or receive e-service of documents.

All filers who were registered to file with this Court prior to January 27, 2020 must complete the steps below to file in the NextGen version of CM/ECF.

1. Create an individual PACER - Case Search Only account
    a. This cannot be a shared firm account.
    b. If you already have an individual PACER - Case Search Only account, make sure it is an Upgraded account.

2. Link your CM/ECF account with your PACER - Case Search Only account.
    a. To retrieve your PACER credentials, contact PACER.
    b. To retrieve your CM/ECF credentials, contact ECF Support.

Once you have completed the above tasks, you will access the Western District court's CM/ECF system with your PACER credentials. If you are unsure if you were registered with this Court's CM/ECF system, contact ECF Support.
